II. The school is the only junior and senior high school under the Ministry of National Defense that cultivates future military cadres for the country. During their studies, students' tuition and miscellaneous fees are completely waived, and they enjoy free or reduced medical treatment at military hospitals. Food, accommodation, uniforms, and health insurance premiums are all paid by public funds, and students receive over NT$6,000 in pocket money each month.
